Sports Personality Dinner Set to Shine for Charity

Ashton & Lea Golf Club is gearing up for an unforgettable evening of food, football and fundraising at its upcoming Sports Personality Dinner, taking place on Friday 3rd October 2025.

Proudly hosted by Club Captain Frank Leach and Lady Captain Anne Graham, the event will raise funds for two exceptional charities – Heartbeat, supporting cardiovascular health in the North West, and Guide Dogs, transforming the lives of those living with sight loss.

Guests will be treated to a warm drinks and canapés reception, followed by a delicious three-course meal, served in the beautifully decorated Clubhouse.

The evening’s entertainment includes two high-profile guest speakers from the world of football:

  • Alan Kelly, former Preston North End goalkeeper and proud Heartbeat ambassador
  • Jimmy Martin, Everton FC’s legendary kit man, who will be sharing stories from inside the dressing room after decades in the professional game

The evening will also feature a charity raffle and auction, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs – all in the name of raising money for two brilliant causes.

Tickets are priced at £50 per person, and guests are encouraged to dress in smart attire. Whether you’re a football fan, a foodie, or simply want to support local charities, it promises to be a memorable night with something for everyone.
